Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor and a member of the SSC's board since 2011, is the Co-Artistic Director Founding of the newly formed theatre company Speech of Fire. She has been the artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 to the year 2019. As Artistic director of SSC, she was the company's composer/musician/text coach as well as costume/set/music designer. While she was usually the leader of the ensemble of actors in her final year she made her first appearance as director (and lighting designer) with the SSC's King Lear. The other roles she has played include a series of game show appearances. The daughter of the poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised along with two children within Walnut Creek. Las Lomas High School in Los Angeles was her school that she chose to attend. It was where she played cheerleader. She studied briefly at Pomona College before graduating from Lewis & Clark College. On a personal note Post was previously engaged with Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross (actor/writer) has been the wife of Post since 1982. The couple is blessed with two daughters. Post has inspired numerous Hollywood actors because she is both a fantastic actress and ideal wife and parent.
